Our solo practitioner pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus clinic is looking for an Orthoptist to join our practice in northwest Florida. The position would be to help as a technician working-up patients and performing strabismus measurements during regular clinic hours Monday through Thursday and conduct an Orthoptist clinic on Fridays (can discuss whether this would be half-day or a full day clinic). Currently, we are a fairly small practice seeing 40 patients daily. Most of our patients are pediatric, but our practice does see adults only for strabismus. We are looking for someone to join our family who enjoys his/her work helping children and our diplopic adults, someone who is patient and self-driven yet willing to add to the teamwork our group already possess, and someone looking for a permanent home (both residential and for employment).
Our office is in an ideal location – 20 minutes to an airport, 40 minutes to the beaches and fishing in Destin, and 40 minutes east of Pensacola. We have multiple military bases surrounding our area making housing available throughout much of the year. We have excellent local schools both near the practice and within Okaloosa county.
