
2023 AACO National Meeting Policies and Disclaimers
AACO Code of Conduct The purpose of this policy is to ensure a professional, collegial and safe environment for the American Association of Certified Orthoptists meetings/events, whether in person or online, in which AACO members, staff, and other participants treat one another with mutual respect. This policy applies to anyone present and participating in events, including, but not limited to attendees, members, speakers, staff, contractors, vendors, exhibitors, and guests.
Registration All AACO 2023 meeting attendees are required to be registered using the correct registration category. If a registration is completed in an incorrect category, the registration will be corrected or canceled; additional fees my be due if the correct category is at a higher cost.
Attendees at the AACO 2023 meeting must wear their own badge. Registrations are non-transferable. CME is only available to fully registered attendees. Guests/spouses are not eligible for CE credits.
Spouse Guest Registration
- For a spouse/guest to attend the President's Reception.
- Guests/spouses may register as a guest with a professional attendee registration.
- A co-worker or an industry associate may not use the spouse/guest registration category to attend the CME sessions.
- Spouses/guests who are orthoptists must register as a professional attendee if they wish to receive CME credits.
- Spouses/guests must be registered to enter the President's Reception.
Event Photography and Video/Audio Recording Release Any person who attends an AACO annual meeting event grants permission to the AACO to record his or her visual/audio images, including but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such persons, to use his or her name an such images for any purpose of the AACO, including advertisements for the AACO and its programs, in any media or format including web-based, film or print.
Meeting Content Programs presented at the AACO national meeting are not public events. They are for the education of meeting attendees.
